BENGALURU, INDIA – In a chilling incident, a man was arrested by police after allegedly killing his wife, placing her body in a suitcase, and fleeing to Pune. Rakesh, originally from Maharashtra, was tracked down using call detail records and detained by Pune police.

The crime came to light when Rakesh reportedly called his wife’s parents and confessed to the murder. The victim, Gori Anil Samba, 32, had a background in mass media and communication and was unemployed at the time. Rakesh worked as a project manager at Hitachi. The couple had recently relocated to Dakkanalli, under the jurisdiction of Hulimavu police, two months before the incident.

Police sources revealed that Rakesh and Gori often engaged in heated arguments, with reports of physical altercations. On March 26, a confrontation escalated, resulting in Rakesh stabbing Gori in the stomach and slitting her throat.
