Chantarasakha described how Quinonez rushed towards the men’s locker room to alert others when he was shot from behind. Though police have yet to confirm details about the shooter’s identity, Chantarasakha indicated that the suspect had been a member of the gym. “It was definitely an ambush; there was nothing that could have prepared us for that day,” he stated.
Colleagues and gym-goers alike remember Quinonez not just as a dedicated employee but as someone who fostered a sense of community within the gym. “He had a huge smile that could light up any room,” Chantarasakha reflected. “He could really change the vibe and energy of the day.”
