ISOC Leaders Condemn Inhumane Attacks and Urge Community Unity to Combat Violence

Pattani, Thailand – Following a series of violent attacks against civilians, military leaders have condemned the assaults as inhumane and intolerable. Maj. Gen. Thammanoon Maisonthi, the spokesperson for the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC), expressed the military’s outrage, highlighting that such attacks on vulnerable populations, including children and the elderly, represent a severe violation of human rights.

In response to these incidents, Lt. Gen. Paisal Nusang, the director of ISOC Region 4, has heightened security protocols across the area. Local and religious leaders have been enlisted to assist with security efforts, particularly during times traditionally regarded as high-risk, such as evening prayers when attacks have previously occurred.

To bolster safety in at-risk communities, authorities have deployed additional security personnel to areas identified as vulnerable. They are actively pursuing leads in an effort to apprehend individuals suspected of involvement in the violence. The proactive engagement of ISOC Region 4 extends to community visits aimed at supporting victims recovering from injuries sustained during the attacks.

ISOC officials are urging collaboration among all sectors of society, calling upon community leaders, religious figures, and citizens to unite against violence. In a stern warning, authorities emphasized that individuals providing any form of assistance to insurgents, whether through shelter or supply, could face significant legal repercussions.

As part of these efforts, the public is encouraged to report any relevant information related to the violence. Citizens can use the dedicated hotline to contact the ISOC Region 4 Director at 061-173-2999, or they can reach the ISOC Region 4 Forward Command line, which operates around the clock at 1341.

The ongoing situation has drawn attention to the challenges faced by communities in the region and the urgent need for collective action against escalating violence. Through these measures, ISOC aims not only to address immediate threats but also to foster a more secure environment for all residents.
