Hull City, England – A Hull businessman, Lance Cator, has been sentenced to two years in jail after pleading guilty to assaulting his ex-girlfriend in a violent attack at his penthouse. Initially facing a more serious charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, Cator saw this charge dropped before his sentencing. The prosecution revealed that the altercation took place after Cator had been drinking with friends at his pub, the Telstar 2, in Hull. The victim had gone to the pub to find him, resulting in an argument that escalated when they returned to his dwelling.
During the dispute at his sixth-floor apartment, prosecutors stated that Cator criticized the victim’s ironing, leading to a heated exchange. The situation took a turn for the worse when Cator, expressing disdain for material possessions, began destroying his own clothing. Subsequently, he physically attacked the victim, leaving her with severe injuries and in need of medical attention.
