High-Speed Crash in Houston Father Flees, Family Injured

HOUSTON, TX – A high-speed collision in the Heights area of Houston left a family in turmoil as a father fled the scene, leaving his injured wife and four children behind. The incident occurred at the intersection of Yale and Lagos streets, where two vehicles collided.

Houston police reported that the driver of an SUV was traveling at approximately 100 miles per hour when he clipped another vehicle and careened into a nearby bayou. Following the crash, the driver abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot, later being picked up by another car.

The driver’s wife and their four children, who were inside the SUV, were all hospitalized. The eldest child was ejected from the vehicle, while the others, all toddlers, were rescued. Three of the children are in critical but stable condition, and two are in serious but stable condition.

A witness at the scene, the driver of the second vehicle, was unharmed along with his dog, who was ejected but not injured. The police are actively searching for the runaway driver.
