Rochester, New York – The family of Shatina Jones, a beloved 46-year-old Buffalo woman who tragically lost her life in a triple shooting on Rialto Street last month, is speaking out after chaos erupted in the courtroom during the arraignment of the suspect charged with her murder.
Andrea Tripp, Jones’ youngest sister, expressed the family’s deep pain and sorrow over the loss of Jones, who was described as the pillar of their family. According to Tripp, Jones was not only a devoted mother of four and grandmother of two but also a successful business owner who held their family together with her love and care.
Jones had traveled to Rochester with her sister to celebrate her daughter’s birthday and visit loved ones when a dispute from a concert escalated into a violent confrontation on the streets, resulting in the fatal shooting of Jones and another individual, Timothy Chealey. Despite their best efforts, the confrontation turned deadly, leaving the family devastated and seeking justice for their loved one.
During the arraignment of Jermaine Williams, the accused perpetrator of the double homicide, a commotion broke out in the courtroom, leading to a physical altercation between attendees.
