Explosive Camper Fire in Harrison Leaves No Injuries, Investigation Underway

Hamilton County, Tenn. – Authorities in Hamilton County, Tenn. responded to a fiery scene in the early hours of Sunday morning where a camper caught fire in Harrison, resulting in explosions. The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department rushed to the location on North Hickory Valley Road around 4 a.m. to find a camper fully engulfed in flames next to a residential home.

Upon arrival, firefighters were faced with an intense situation as the camper, housing several propane tanks, had already detonated multiple times. Concerns arose regarding the possibility of someone being inside the burning structure. However, homeowners assured emergency crews that the camper was unoccupied at the time of the incident, although a power cord was still connected.

Despite the ferocity of the fire, fortunately, there were no reported injuries as a result of the blaze, according to the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department.
