Woodland Hills, California – A complex murder case has unfolded following the fatal shooting of a health clinic owner, with charges including murder being filed against his ex-wife. The Los Angeles County District Attorney announced on Monday that Ahang Mirshojae, 53, faces accusations over the death of Dr. Hamid Mirshojae, who was killed on August 23 outside his clinic.

The case further involves several other individuals. Notably, last week, Evan Hardman, 41, and Sarah Jawed, 26, faced charges including felony murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Both are accused of a direct role in the slaying of Dr. Mirshojae, with claims that Hardman was lying in wait and used a firearm in the execution of the crime.
Authorities allege that Ahang Mirshojae hired Jawed and Hardman to carry out the murder, marking a sinister turn in the narrative. Meanwhile, Ashley Rose Sweeting, 40, has been charged as an accessory after the fact.
Hardman, hailing from Tomball, Texas, was arrested on December 10 and is pending extradition, whereas Jawed was set to be arraigned on Monday and is being held without bail. Sweeting has already pleaded not guilty at her arraignment on December 12.
The arrest of Hardman and Jawed last week brought additional layers of complexity to the investigation, as it was revealed that they allegedly used a blunt weapon in their attack on Dr. Mirshojae.
