In the Zaporizhzhia region, Ivan Fedorov, the head of the local military administration, reported a staggering 490 aerial assaults targeting 15 different settlements. Among the hardest-hit areas were Stepnohirsk and Huliaipole, which saw air and rocket fire from multiple launch systems. Unfortunately, the relentless attacks included glide bombs that tragically claimed the life of a 64-year-old man in Stepnohirsk. Local communities reported extensive damage to homes and civilian infrastructure.
The city of Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region also faced the brunt of Russian shelling early this morning. Four civilians were injured, along with substantial damage to residential areas and a local clinic, prompting a swift response from emergency services to address the chaos.
Further west in Dnipropetrovsk, drone strikes targeted the Pavlohrad district, resulting in the death of a 52-year-old man and injuries to two additional individuals. Fires ignited by these attacks caused damage to a transport facility, though firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames. The surrounding communities also endured drone strikes that harmed property but, thankfully, resulted in no further casualties.
In the Kherson region, local authorities reported one death and multiple injuries due to drone strikes and artillery shelling that rained down on various settlements, including the city of Kherson itself. The damage was extensive, affecting residential buildings and public infrastructure, raising concerns about the humanitarian implications for those living in the affected areas.
In Donetsk, a series of Shahed drones targeted a Nova Poshta facility in Sloviansk, damaging both the building and nearby homes. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries in this attack, offering a small respite amid escalating violence.
The Sumy region also faced turmoil. Military officials noted over 100 strikes across 33 settlements, with significant devastation reported in the Sumy and Shostka districts. While buildings and vehicles sustained damage, the good news was that there were no civilian injuries or deaths.
