For weekend and holiday submissions, which must be sent via email from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., obituary costs and proofs are deferred until the next business day.
It’s important to note that the visual style of the obituaries will remain consistent with past editions; however, there will no longer be restrictions on certain expressions or the number of family members listed. Phrases such as “Went to rest with the Lord” are now permissible, providing families more freedom in how they choose to honor their loved ones.
The changes also come with a new pricing structure, though specific costs are only available during weekdays, with details provided after the initial submission is confirmed.
