Decatur, Georgia — Authorities in DeKalb County are on the lookout for three individuals after a drug transaction took a fatal turn, resulting in a deadly shooting. The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday night near Flat Shoals Parkway and Snapfinger Road, where law enforcement responded to reports of a deceased person found inside a vehicle.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a 27-year-old male victim who had been shot while parked at a Chevron gas station. Investigators believe that the victim was attempting to purchase drugs and, in a rush to leave during the exchange, drove off. However, as the victim accelerated, an individual outside the vehicle drew a firearm and shot the victim in the neck. With his foot still pressing on the accelerator, the car rolled across the street, colliding with multiple objects before coming to a stop.
