Deadly Shooting at Mississippi Club Leaves One Man Dead and Suspect in Custody

Carroll County, Mississippi – A tragic incident unfolded at a club in the Coila area of Carroll County, resulting in the death of a young man. Jaheim Montreal Walker, 20, lost his life in a shooting that took place in the club’s parking lot on a Thursday night.

Deputies swiftly responded to the scene upon receiving reports of the shooting, where they found Walker unresponsive. Despite their efforts in administering CPR until medical assistance arrived, Walker tragically passed away at the scene.

Constable Travis Gatewood, who was present inside the establishment at the time of the incident, was alerted by witnesses and rushed to the parking lot. Witnesses pointed out Reginald Cortez Lindsey, 40, as the alleged shooter. Gatewood wasted no time in locating Lindsey at his residence and taking him into custody.
