Authorities responded to the incident shortly after midnight at Kevin’s Korner Bar & Grill, located off Williamson Zebulon Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was promptly transported to Wellstar Spalding Medical Center for emergency treatment but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of family.
Witnesses reported that the confrontation involved approximately ten patrons, escalating into chaos before shots were fired. As police conducted their investigation, they identified Daulton Statham, 25, as the alleged shooter. He has since been charged with murder and is being held at the Spalding County Jail without bond.
