DALLAS, TX – A violent attack at a Dallas motel has left the community in shock after a worker was allegedly murdered by a coworker with a machete, in what witnesses describe as a gruesome scene.
Giordanis Cabos Martinez, who had previously been arrested in California for a bizarre car theft attempt, now faces a much more severe charge following the recent incident in Dallas.
The attack unfolded on September 10, 2025, when Martinez, employed at the motel, reportedly attacked Shandra Nagamalia, a well-liked manager known for his dedication to guests. Referred to as “Bob,” Nagamalia was a familiar and friendly face to many.
Witnesses described the attack as relentless, with Martinez allegedly continuing his assault until Nagamalia was decapitated. Stephanie Elliott, who saw the event, recounted the chilling details of the attack.
Emergency services received multiple calls, and police arrested Martinez shortly after the attack, finding him covered in blood a block away. The machete believed to have been used was recovered at the scene.
The motive behind this violent act remains unclear, leaving the community to grapple with unanswered questions. Those who knew Martinez are stunned by the brutality of this crime.
Martinez is now facing a capital murder charge, a stark contrast to his prior run-ins with the law. The community remembers Nagamalia for his kindness and commitment to others, leaving a void in the wake of his tragic death.
As investigations proceed, the community is left to process the trauma and seek solace in each other during this difficult time.
