FLORESVILLE, Texas — A tight-knit Texas community is grappling with the tragic loss of a respected local barber, whose life was cut short in a violent road rage incident. Octavian Estrada, affectionately known as Tave, was not only a barber to the residents of Floresville but a pillar of the community. His commitment to service extended beyond his barber chair, as he often offered free haircuts to children and made visits to provide last rites grooming services for the deceased.
The incident that led to the loss of Estrada occurred as he was driving to San Antonio. According to law enforcement officials, a confrontation unfolded when Estrada pulled into a local gas station. An arrest warrant states that following a brief encounter, Estrada was fatally shot in the chest.
Bexar County authorities have since arrested 34-year-old Sean Anthony Samaniego on charges of tampering with evidence in connection to the case. During the investigation, Samaniego disclosed to police that it was an associate he referred to as “Money” who actually discharged the weapon. He confessed to fleeing the scene and disposing of a trailer attached to his truck, crucial pieces of evidence in the case.
