Vladimir, Russia – A serious explosion and subsequent fire at a military ammunition depot in Vladimir Oblast on April 22 has led to a declared state of emergency and prompted evacuations in the region, Russian officials said. This is not the first safety incident at the 51st Arsenal. A similar explosion occurred on June 22, 2022, during ammunition unloading operations, which resulted in three servicemen and one civilian specialist losing their lives, while another individual suffered serious injuries.
