Caldwell Parish Man Arrested for Fatal Shooting of Wife’s Boyfriend

Caldwell Parish, Louisiana – A 53-year-old man from Caldwell Parish is facing charges for the fatal shooting of his wife’s boyfriend in Kelly. The incident occurred on Friday, prompting a call to the sheriff’s office from a woman who reported hearing a gunshot while hiding in the woods. The suspect, Brian Allbritton, later confessed to the shooting.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies discovered the body of the victim, Julian Martin Jr, near two trucks. Martin had suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest. Allbritton, who admitted to being the shooter, was cooperative with law enforcement and taken into custody without resistance.

According to reports, Allbritton claimed that his wife had contacted him, informing him she was hiding in the woods and asking him to come to her residence. When Allbritton arrived, he encountered Martin leaving the driveway in a truck.
