Racine, Wis. — A woman has been charged following a violent assault on a pregnant victim that was captured on surveillance footage earlier this month. The confrontation took place outside a workplace, leaving the victim with visible injuries, including cuts to her face and bruising on her abdomen.
Authorities have identified the suspect as 28-year-old Marielle Barrios. She faces several charges, including armed robbery, substantial battery, and attempted aggravated battery against an unborn child. According to the police report, the victim, who is carrying Barrios’ boyfriend’s child, was chased by Barrios and a second individual as she attempted to leave her workplace.
