Two brothers from the City of Industry, California are facing arraignment on Wednesday for their alleged involvement in a violent robbery at a Costco store. David Martin Morrison Jr., 38, and Andrew Morrison, 34, are set to appear in West Covina courthouse after being charged with one count of robbery. Andrew Morrison is also facing additional charges of unauthorized use of personal identifying information, while a third defendant, Jake Raya, is charged with one count of unauthorized use of personal identifying information.
The robbery took place on November 26 outside the Costco store in the City of Industry, leaving the victim with life-threatening injuries. The victim was reportedly punched repeatedly and dragged by the getaway vehicle while trying to recover her purse. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated that the two brothers were arrested in Diamond Bar last Thursday, and detectives recovered evidence including personal property belonging to the victim.
David Morrison is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail, while Andrew Morrison’s bail was set at $600,000, according to jail records. Investigators are also looking into the possibility of the brothers’ involvement in other recent robberies in the San Gabriel Valley area.
