Bengaluru, India – A tragic incident unfolded where the CEO of a Bengaluru-based firm allegedly killed her four-year-old son at a service apartment in Goa before attempting to take her own life. Suchana Seth, the CEO of Mindful AI Lab, was later found traveling to Bengaluru with her son’s body stuffed in a bag in a tourist cab. She has since been arrested.
The 39-year-old entrepreneur was apprehended in Karnataka’s Chitradurga after authorities at the apartment discovered suspicious red stains in her room and alerted the local police. Seth was found with the child’s body in her luggage and was subsequently taken into custody.
The motive behind the crime was reportedly to prevent her estranged husband from meeting their son as per visitation rights. Divorce proceedings between Seth and her husband are currently ongoing. Sources indicated that she was unhappy with a court order allowing her husband to meet their son every Sunday, prompting her to carry out the act just before the scheduled visit.
Seth, who holds a master’s degree in Physics and was a topper in Sanskrit, has been remanded in police custody for six days by a local court in Goa. Her husband, who was not in the country during the crime, has been informed about the tragic incident.
The incident has shocked the community and raised concerns about the mental health and well-being of individuals facing challenging family situations. The authorities continue to investigate the case to fully understand the events leading up to this heartbreaking tragedy.
