HOOVER, Ala. – A Hoover woman has been charged in connection to a fatal traffic accident that resulted in the death of a husband and wife in October, according to the Hoover Police Department.
Sarah Rose Tisdale, 34, is facing two counts of murder and one count of reckless endangerment. She was taken into custody on Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred on Oct. 31, when a two-vehicle crash with injuries was reported on John Hawkins Parkway, near Hunter Street Baptist Church. The investigation revealed that a Lexus RX 350 traveling west on John Hawkins Parkway crossed into the opposite lane and struck a Nissan Rouge. The crash resulted in the deaths of Teresa and George Roberts, who were passengers in the Nissan.
Tisdale, who was driving the Lexus, sustained serious injuries and was transported to UAB Hospital. A 3-year-old passenger in the Lexus was also transported to Children’s Hospital with minor injuries.
Subsequent investigations by HPD traffic homicide investigators found that Tisdale was driving under the influence of controlled substances at the time of the crash. As a result, warrants were issued for Tisdale’s arrest and she was transported to the Jefferson County Jail on no bond.
The tragic incident has left two people dead and several others injured. Tisdale now faces serious charges as a result of her alleged actions on that fateful day.
