Bibb County, Alabama – A local man has been apprehumed on allegations of a harrowing crime involving the death of his wife and four children in their family home, authorities confirmed. The incident, which sent shockwaves through the small community, involved the fatal shooting of the victims late Thursday evening.
Brandon Kendrick, 32, is now facing five counts of capital murder following his arrest early Friday morning. He was placed in custody at the Bibin County Jail around 3:30 a.m., as per the statement from local law enforcement.
The tragic event came to light when sheriff’s deputies responded to a distressing 911 call at 8:18 p.m. reporting a gun-related injury at a residence on Greentree Drive. Upon arrival, officials discovered a gruesome scene: five individuals had been shot.
Among the victims were four children, all under the age of eight, including two of Kendrick’s own children and two relatives— a nephew and a niece. Tragically, three of the children were pronounced dead at the scene. Kendrick’s wife and another child were critically injured and airlifted to hospitals in Birmingham, where they subsequently succumbed to their injuries.
