Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines – Actor Christian Oliver, widely recognized for his roles in movies like Speed Racer and Valkyrie, tragically passed away at the age of 51 on Thursday in a devastating plane crash off the coast of a Caribbean island. The small plane, piloted by Robert Sachs, was en route to St. Lucia from Bequia’s J.F. Mitchell Airport when it crashed into the water. Also on board were Oliver’s two daughters, Madita, 12, and Annik, 10, both of whom perished in the tragic incident.
According to authorities, the crash occurred shortly after takeoff when the aircraft experienced difficulties and plummeted into the ocean. Fishermen and divers from Paget Farm promptly rushed to the scene to offer aid, but all four passengers on board lost their lives. Although their bodies have been recovered, the cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
Christian Oliver had just completed filming his latest movie, Forever Hold Your Peace, directed by Nick Lyon and co-starring Bai Ling.
