Poole, Dorset – A 20-year-old man facing charges for the murder of personal trainer Amie Gray and the attempted murder of another woman appeared in court on Tuesday. Nasen Saadi, described as a young man ‘of good character’, stood trial at Winchester Crown Court via video link from prison. The incidents took place at Durley Chine Beach, West Undercliff Promenade, with the murder occurring on May 24 and the attempted murder of Leanne Miles at the same location.
The defendant, said to have no prior convictions, was informed by Judge Paul Dugdale of the trial’s start date on November 25, with a plea and trial preparation hearing scheduled for August 23. The judge emphasized the importance of clear instructions for Saadi’s solicitors to ensure a fair trial process.
The tragic events unfolded when Dorset Police received a report of two stabbings at Durley Chine Beach, resulting in Ms. Gray’s untimely death.
