Indianapolis, Indiana – A 25-year-old man was arrested by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives following a shooting at a Broad Ripple bar that resulted in one fatality and five injuries. The suspect, Nicholas Fulk, was charged with murder after detectives utilized various surveillance tools to identify him.
After the arrest, IMPD Chief Chris Bailey emphasized the responsibility of Broad Ripple bars to prioritize the safety of their patrons. While most establishments uphold security standards, those that do not will be held accountable, Bailey stated in a released statement.
The shooting took place inside the bar around 1 a.m., prompting a response from IMPD Broad Ripple Entertainment Zone officers. Upon arrival, they found five men with gunshot wounds and provided immediate aid before transferring them to nearby hospitals. Another individual later arrived at the hospital independently, with one of the victims succumbing to their injuries.
