Seminole County, Florida – Authorities in Seminole County, Florida, have made a significant breakthrough in solving a shooting incident that occurred last year. Sheriff Dennis Lemma revealed on Monday that 13 individuals have been arrested in connection with the shooting that resulted in the death of a 31-year-old woman and injuries to five others.
The incident took place in the early hours of January 16, 2023, as rapper Pierre Delince, also known as Jackboy, was departing from a show at The Barn in Sanford. Traveling in an SUV and a sprinter bus with a sizable entourage, the group was targeted by gunfire, resulting in the death of Princess Tolliver, a 31-year-old woman from Tallahassee, and injuries to six other women in the van.
According to Lemma, the shooter opened fire on the van as it was headed towards Orlando on County Road 46A and Rinehart Road, mistakenly believing Jackboy was inside the vehicle. Tolliver, who tragically lost her life in the incident, was identified as a civilian employee at the Florida State University Police Department.
Law enforcement officers were able to intercept the gunman’s vehicle and recover multiple rounds of ammunition that matched those used in the shooting. The suspect, identified as a member of the OTF gang, allegedly carried out the attack as part of a feud between rival rappers for “street validation.”
Lemma stated that the OTF gang, a subset of the Crips with a presence in Seminole County, has a history of criminal activity. The authorities, along with partnering agencies, executed a series of arrests related to the incident and uncovered further evidence linking the suspects to the shooting.
As the investigation unfolds, a detailed affidavit detailing the events leading up to the shooting and the subsequent arrests is set to be released in the coming days. The sheriff emphasized the thoroughness of the operation, with over 120 search warrants issued in connection with the case.
