MILWAUKEE, WI – A Milwaukee woman is on the run following a daring theft at a Loomis facility in August 2023. Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Latoya Watkins, who allegedly infiltrated the cash handling company and absconded with a hefty $118,000.
The criminal complaint details how Watkins, disguised in a wig and red polo shirt, used a code word to gain entry through the first set of security doors. She reportedly struggled with the PIN entry but convinced an employee to let her in by claiming it was her first day on the job.
Once inside the cash room, Watkins seized the opportunity to grab a bag filled with cash and escape. Investigators suspect her then-girlfriend, Dodge Jackson, who worked at Loomis, may have been involved. Jackson’s search history reportedly raised red flags with queries about stealing from work.
Despite attempts to contact Watkins and Jackson, both remain elusive. They have been charged with theft, and the investigation gained momentum after a thorough review of video evidence over the summer.
Jackson is expected to appear in court later this month, while Watkins remains a fugitive. The district attorney’s office emphasizes the ongoing efforts to locate her and resolve the case.
This incident underscores the vulnerabilities in security systems and the challenges of tracking down suspects who exploit insider information. As the investigation unfolds, authorities remain committed to capturing Watkins and ensuring justice is served.
